Telehealth Use and COVID-19
Since March 1, the WyTN has seen an unprecedented increase in the demand for telehealth:

  • 1,566 new enrollments
  • 1,490 new requests for Zoom accounts
  • 783 additions to the telehealth provider directory
  • Over 320 technical assistance encounters
  • Over 100 participants in this month’s webinar
  • 7,970 Zoom telehealth encounters from March 1 – March 31

This more than quadruples the number of providers involved in the WyTN. It clearly demonstrates not only the need for telehealth at this time, but the willingness and ability for providers to deliver telehealth, and the capability of telehealth to improve access to care.

During this time, the WyTN—with the support of the University of Wyoming and the Department of Health—has been able to continue to provide timely and efficient support to everyone joining the network, at no cost to providers and healthcare facilities. The WyTN will continue to be available to support the health care providers now and in the future.

The WyTN is offering an opportunity for you and your staff to share and receive information, suggestions, and resources about the Zoom™ platform for telehealth. Open labs via Zoom will be offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 - 10:00 am.

These open labs will be using a Q&A format and will not be traditional trainings. Our goal is to assist the community in feeling more confident in utilizing Zoom™ during this time.
