As part of the Build Iowa workforce development initiative, we have created many tools and resources available to help showcase the construction industry to those interested in learning more.  The Build Iowa section on the MBI website contains links to many resources that you can start using today in your workforce recruitment efforts (links below).
We also have various marketing items that we can send to your office that you can hand out to students when you meet with them for classroom presentations and career fairs:
  • BUILD IOWA BOOKLET - This booklet complements the www.BuildIowa.org website and contains information about various careers and is a great resource for students. There is space on the front of this booklet to place a label containing YOUR COMPANY information.
  • BUILD IOWA BROCHURE - A simple brochure outlining the www.BuildIowa.org website and features.
  • BUILD IOWA POSTER
  • BUILD IOWA SILICONE BRACELETS - Like the 'LIVE STRONG' bracelets, these are available in multiple colors with 'WWW.BUILDIOWA.ORG' on them.

Cornerstone Academy is SOLD OUT at its maximum capacity of 25 construction professionals! With that being said, now is the time to reserve your chance to take this group of leaders out to dinner!
 
The Cornerstone Academy meets in cities across the state for a two-day period and each of their sessions include a social/dinner on the first evening of the session. Sponsoring this dinner is a great networking opportunity to get one-on-one time with the current and future leaders of the construction industry.

OSHA's final rule on occupational exposure to respirable crystalline silica took effect on June 23, 2016 and all construction companies must be in compliance by September 23, 2017. To assist contractors with understanding the rule and the procedures required for compliance, MBI is offering a course on Controlling the Silica Hazard in Construction in two locations:

The Annual MBI Learning Opportunities Planner is available for the 2017/18 training seasons!  The Learning Planner contains the calendar for all training that we have scheduled for 2017/18.  We encourage you to take a look to see if there is anything that your company could benefit from.

Congratulations CM-Lean Recipients!
