Need to talk to a loved one about COVID-19? Federation’s Inclusion department recommends trying out this Social Story by The Autism Educator . Originally developed for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Social Stories aid meaningful and effective conversations among children and adults with or without a diagnosis. Also, consider registering for COVID-19 & People with IDD: Impact, Prevention, and Action, a free webinar on supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities; happening on Wednesday, March 25, at 9:00am. For more resources like these, or advice on how you can support someone with a disability during this time, contact Federation’s Inclusion Manager, Karina Szulc.
PJ Library® is here to support you! Right now, PJ Library is offering dozens of fun and educational at-home resources for children and families. Check out PJ Library Resources for Quarantined Families for book-related activities, arts and crafts, programs for infants and toddlers, and more! PJ Library Calgary’s Facebook page is also hosting a daily schedule of live readings, craft demonstrations, sing-a-longs, and tons of other kid and family-friendly digital programs - including resources for home-bound parents. PJ Library remains on track to deliver books and resources over the next few months. Should you have any questions, always feel free to contact Kathie Wainer.
On March 19, Emerging Gen Coordinator Danielle Braitman
live-streamed a tutorial on how to create your own homemade sugar and salt scrubs on the Jewish Adult Calgary (JAC) Facebook page as part of JAC’s newest series, Feeling Myself Thursdays.
