64 SECONDS to Learn Up To  25 THINGS about St. Louis Park High School
March 16, 2020

1:   From the Principal
Dear Families,

As many of you know, Governor Walz has ordered the closing of schools throughout the state by Wednesday. This Monday, we will continue school as usual. Monday will be designed to help all students learn how to enrich their distance learning experience while they are away from school and help ensure connectivity to their teachers and classmates even while we are urged to be in isolation.

In addition to physical materials (like books and handouts), our staff will be using digital tools you may be familiar with at each level -- whether it be Google, Gmail, Schoology, SeeSaw or Remind, to name a few. A combination of digital and paper resources will be used appropriately as we think about keeping students engaged and learning.
  • It is our intention to make sure our credit-earning 9-12 grade students continue their current rigorous classroom experiences via digital and distance learning.
  • Students in grades 3-8 will have access to digital devices and have access to a variety of learning experiences both digital and non-digital from their teachers on a regular basis
  • Students in grades K-2 will engage in learning experience plans that may be accessed online, but don't require a digital device to complete
  • Families who are enrolled in our early learning programs will receive further instruction from staff on how to continue their learning.
Our primary goals on Monday are to ensure students have the necessary supplies and materials to engage in high-quality learning during the closure. This will serve as a personal connection with their teachers and peers before we move to distance learning.  Please know that our staff will be working diligently to ensure that students get what they need. You can help us by filling out a  GOOGLE FORM in our email message to ensure your child is well equipped with the tools they need for success.

We commit to energizing and enhancing the spirit of our students through this unprecedented time.
