Five candidates are vying for the two open City Council seats in this November's election. On September 11, voters will have their first chance to hear from the candidates during a special Candidates' Forum sponsored by the Walnut Creek Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau. All five candidates -  Rebecca Byrd , certified Project Management Professional; Spencer Dress Matt Francois, Attorney/Partner, Rutan & Tucker; Iman Novin, Principal, Novin Development Corp. and Cindy Silva, current City Council member -  will respond to questions posed by the Chamber's political action committee, WALPAC, and members of the audience.
