CURRENT COMMUNITY MITIGATION LEVEL
SUBSTANTIAL TO SHELTER IN PLACE
The health, safety and welfare of our property owners, residents, employees, visitors and businesses are priority one for Hot Springs Village. We encourage social distancing or sheltering in place to prevent COVID19 from spreading in our community.  We also encourage supporting local businesses as can safely be achieved.  Several are offering delivery services, online services, gift certificates and other creative methods to serve their customers and we applaud their efforts.

We encourage you to visit our webpage  https://explorethevillage.com/members/hsv-covid-19/ that is being used to provide the latest updates, including closings and postponements.

We are also using these resources for mitigation planning:
State of Arkansas
As of today, March 23, there are 174 confirmed cases in Arkansas.

The Arkansas Department of Health lab continues to increase testing capacity.

You can watch Gov. Asa Hutchinson's daily briefing on the COVID-19 virus situation in Arkansas on his YouTube channel here. One item to note is the extended deadline for filing personal state income tax returns. The deadline is now July 15.

If you need to apply for unemployment benefits, do not go into workforce centers in the state, they are working to process claims. Go online or call the unemployment hotline at 844-908-2178. The unemployment hotline will be active 24 hours a day during the crisis.

Small businesses can visit https://www.arkansasedc.com/covid19 for information on seeking loans and other needs related to their business.

Golf
We need our golfers' help. The health and safety of our members and employees are the most important concern during this outbreak. Please abide by our social distancing rules by having a maximum of 4 golfers in the golf shop at one time. All golfers please social distance yourself at least 6 feet from the counter or any person that happens to be in the shop at that time. These stipulations must always be adhered to. Failure to do so might lead to course closures.

If you have an Annual golf pass or have money on your POA card, please call the golf shop to check in instead of going into the golf shop.

You can add money to your POA number by calling the golf shops directly or Member Services at the POA administration building.

Outdoor Amenities
We are seeing instances in Hot Springs Village's outdoor amenities, including golf, pickleball and basketball where people are not limiting their distance and interaction with others. While outdoor activities are among the safest, we strongly encourage people to keep at least 6 foot of distance, not be in small enclosed areas with more than 10 people, to stay home if they have a cough or fever, to wash hands, use gloves and sanitizers.

Should we continue seeing such activities at our outdoor amenities, we will close these venues.

Estate & Garage Sales
We are seeing estate sale companies holding events without proper social distancing practices, lack of sanitizers and gloves, and while calling in non-member attendees.  We strongly discourage these activities, as they present an unnecessary risk to our residents. We will not issue additional permits until future notice.

Visitors at Gates
Over the weekend 150 guests were logged into the gate system by members.  We ask all members to use caution when encouraging others to visit them during this crucial point in the virus spread.

Restaurants
Hot Springs Village POA restaurants have adopted the following procedures for their to-go orders:
  • Enhanced disinfection protocols are in effect.
  • All preparation staff wear gloves and routinely change gloves throughout their shifts.
  • All facilities are reporting disinfection protocols weekly.
  • All employees including Food & Beverage workers have been instructed, if you are experiencing symptoms of coronavirus disease which can include fever, coughing, or shortness of breath or any other illness please stay home.
Saline County
Saline County numbers are still the same (one confirmed case and six persons under investigation). All Saline County Offices are still operating under a limited access to the public policy. The public is still encouraged to conduct all business with the County Offices and Courts digitally, by phone or online, if at all possible.
