Mindfulness classes will be offered daily beginning this week. Students should sign-up for classes each week using the QRs on posters in the hallways. The QR code will take them to this website: https://miltoneagles.wixsite.com/miltonmindfulness/sign-ups-for-classes
Each week a new sign-up will be linked to the site.

Breathing Classes
Breathing classes will be offered before school and last approximately 15 minutes. These classes focus on topics of anxiety, stress, emotions, self-care, personal growth, inner peace and resilience while teaching breathing techniques. They help students find a calm and focus before class.

Relaxation Classes
Relaxation classes promote deep rest and relaxation. Body scans and breath awareness are used to calm the nervous system leading to less stress and better health. Essentially these classes are "active" naps.

Movement Classes
Movement classes combine a physical practice with breathing techniques to strengthen muscles and relieve stress. Similar to breathing classes, movement classes focus on topics of anxiety, stress, emotions, self-care, personal growth, inner peace and resilience.
Encourage your students to sign-up!

Milton was also recognized as one of the top-10 PROGRAMS of the Decade for the entire state of Georgia for BOTH the girls & boys teams. 472 high schools field teams in cross country in the state of Georgia. The girls program has finished on the podium at the state meet (top-4) in their classification in 9 years of the decade 2010-2019.
