CROSSING PATHS
Words of (not quite) Wisdom
from the Executive Director

Hi Everyone!

First thing I want everyone to know is that CPACC is here for you! If there there was ever time that businesses needed the extra support, it's now. These are uncharted waters for everyone, so the more we can do to help each other the better for us overall as a community.

I am working hard to keep our businesses and our community updated and connected to the necessary information related to COVID-19. I have launched our new website early, on March 16th, to ensure that those who do not have access to our Facebook and Instagram accounts are able to access the resources and information they need. The website has a tab for COVID-19 and under it is a page for Businesses (HELP FOR BUSINESSES) , a page for the community to learn how to support our businesses (OUR LOCAL BUSINESSES) and a page for updates from Governor Tony Evers (GOV EVERS EMERGENCY ORDERS). There is still work for me to do to complete the website, but hopefully you'll have the things you need right now. If you something is missing that you require right away, please reach out to me directly.

As I announced last week, our Annual Dinner Meeting/Celebration was postponed due to COVID-19. One of the main focuses of that meeting was to announce the new membership opportunities. All of this information has been added to the website. Unfortunately, some of it is no longer relevant so I am working on updating it again in light of the current circumstances. I know that the Chamber has to change and evolve to be relevant to you right now! I am working on a strategy to address the current state of our economy and our community overall.

However, all of that being said, the majority of memberships will be expiring at the end of this month, with our fiscal year beginning on April 1, 2020. I am not planning to do a push for membership at this time as I know businesses are currently figuring out their immediate needs. I am already moving ahead with supporting ALL of our local area business during this pandemic. Local businesses across the Cross Plains Area need help and I plan to continue to serve them for as long as we are up and running.

If you need help, want me to add your business to our updates to the community, have questions, need to chat; let me know know!

Be Safe & Healthy!

Kind Regards,

Terra Morris
Executive Director
