Dear Morning Star Families,
In light of recent events, we are asking each of you to become a prayer warrior on behalf of our staff and the women, men and children we continue to serve during this difficult time.
I want to let you, our loyal supporters, know that Morning Star is determined to do everything in its power to continue to provide compassionate continuity of care to our clients during this shutdown. I am so proud of our dedicated staff that refuses to allow our beautiful women go without the help they so desperately need during this time. I am honored to work with such faith-filled, staunch women who selflessly give of themselves so that no woman feels that abortion is her only choice.
I also want to thank all of our staff and volunteers who are unable to be in our office at this time, due to risk factors, for your faithful prayers. Your prayer strengthens us and helps us to continue!
To consolidate resources, Morning Star had to reduce operations to one location. We are currently working out of the Harrisburg clinic beginning Wednesday, March 18. We are taking active measures to safely see the women, men and families in our community, using the protocol set forth by the Department of Health and our Medical Director to limit exposure. Our Harrisburg clinic will provide phone appointments to non-urgent patients and will be taking face-to-face appointments for women at risk for abortion. Emergency assistance for materials, such as diapers and formula, will be given to current clients on an as-needed basis.
Morning Star will continue to provide updates as we can, and pray that all of you, and your families, stay healthy and safe.
