To My Guardian Angels Parish During These Times
During my 18 years (so far) as your pastor (and I don’t want to hear, “Really! It seems so much longer”), I have marveled at the passion and love that our families, students, staff, and faculty have for this amazing parish. During this time of uncertainty, it is gratifying to see how those virtues and more have been put on full display.
The health, well-being and safety of the Guardian Angels family is our top priority. This of course means we need to adjust quickly to a world where social distancing is mandated. Under these circumstances, it is heartwarming to see how both the Parish and School are finding ways to bridge this gap. Spiritual and educational opportunities have not diminished here at GA, the delivery system is just being altered a bit.
To demonstrate this community's heart and soul, many parishioners and friends have reached out to me and others, asking how they can help. First, your prayers, for everyone involved here and for all who are impacted by this pandemic, are greatly appreciated. If you are looking for more engagement opportunities, our many ministries are always looking for more hands and more ideas. Many of our Parish Service Organizations are still able to connect using readily available technology (Skype, Zoom and Hangouts to name a few), or so I am being told. Your experiences and time are always greatly appreciated.
Finally, offertory has been and will always be a critical resource to financially support Guardian Angels. While we can’t come together as a community, I hope you can continue to support the Lord’s work here at GA, and through GA in the local community by your stewardship contributions. We are grateful to those who are still giving during this time through your envelopes,
our online platform
or EFT donations. Thank you!
Just because events and activities are not possible for now, doesn’t mean there are not many ways to stay in touch. The parish and school websites and our social media sites are chock full of information about this community specifically and about the Cincinnati Catholic community in general. Check them out. If you are new to accessing our social media channels, you can find the links to our pages at the bottom of the school and parish websites.
Thank you for all you have done and continue to do for our GA family. Our mission is accomplished only with your help, and we are grateful for your ongoing support.
All God’s Blessings,
Father Thomas M. King

Bid-N-Buy
The Bid-N-Buy committee is busy preparing a great event for you! Any donation you can make is greatly appreciated. Here's how can you help from the comfort of your couch!
- Check out the Amazon Wish List. Put your online shopping skills to good use! You can always donate an Amazon gift card in any amount and we will use it towards our bigger items. Check out the AngelsFest 2020 Amazon Wish list. Please make sure to include your name and address with any donation so we can send you a thank you and tax receipt form. You can also use the wish list to get ideas-just let me know if you purchase elsewhere and I’ll take the item off the list.
- We are in need of craft beer and wine for our wagon of cheer. We are unable to accept hard liquor. You can also donate gift cards to Kroger, Party Source or other stores that sell alcohol.
- One of our most popular baskets last year was the, "I Hope You Win a LOTTO". CCD families are asked again this year to donate lottery tickets in any denomination.
- The festival cart is set up in the gathering space if you visit the church. Take a tag and return it with your donation. Don't forget to include your name so I know who to thank!
- Gift cards are needed for entertainment, restaurants, and shopping.
- Send in a cash/check donation to the rectory. Please make your check out to Guardian Angels and mark your check as "Bid-N-Buy Donation."
