What: With Main Street Iowa and the Iowa Economic Development Authority, DPI presents the Open 4 Business competition for a for-profit business locating in downtown Burlington. Chosen local applicants will pitch their business concepts, with the winner competing to be a semifinalist in May for a chance at $8,000. Five finalists will present their ideas in a statewide contest in July for an additional $20,000 in funding.

What:   An Arthritis Foundation exercise program that can reduce pain and improve health. 
Classes are led by Arthritis Foundation-trained fitness specialists. The cost is $50 for Health Fitness members and $60 for others. Nonmembers have the option of using the gym through May 7 at a reduced rate. A minimum of 12 participants is required for this class. 
People with arthritis who can be on their feet for 10 minutes without increased pain can have success with this program.
