Elizabeth "Libby" Tyler,
the first female planner in Illinois recognized as a Fellow of the American Institute of Certified Planners; and
Petra Doan
, an urban and regional planning professor at Florida State University who researches planning issues surrounding marginalized communities, with a special focus on the LGBTQ community.

REGENERATIVE STUDIES
Last month lecturer
Bethann Morrison
accepted the Emerging Scholar Award and presented her dissertation at the
16th International Conference On Sustainability: Environmental, Cultural, Economic & Social Sustainability
in Santiago, Chile. Morrison's dissertation (
"Creating the World We Want to Live In: Reconnecting for a Sustainable Future")
supports her project, "The Building Community" in downtown Los Angeles. There, she leads a growing group of individuals who have experienced homelessness in the collective design of sustainable, supportive bridge housing solutions for Skid Row. Morrison teaches RS 3030 (Organization for Regenerative Practices) this spring at the Lyle Center.

('19, urban and regional planning) is now a Management Analyst in the City of Artesia.
Medina works in the City Manager's Office, where she conducts research "to obtain sufficient, valid and reliable data for analysis and decision-making purposes." Her current projects include grant research and the implementation of a parking preferential district for northern Artesia.
