Local Triathlete Profile: Dawn Bartolini
In honor of the 35th Annual Chicago Triathlon this month, we spoke with four different local triathletes about their stories, and each week leading up to it we'll share a new one.

This week, read about Dawn Bartolini from Tri Right Coaching. Bartolini started her journey after a significant weight loss, and is now inspiring 40-year old women and almost empty nesters all over the area.

Bartolini's advice to athletes is, "Never ever second guess yourself; live a life without doubt, because doubt is part of fear. It's not just about exercising, it's about the daily do and your vision for yourself."

Chicago's First Running Gym Opens this Month
Runn Chicago, the city's first-ever running gym, opens in August to offer unique group treadmill classes to runners - and aspiring runners - of all shapes, sizes and fitness levels.

Keith Kimble, Runn Chicago's founder and a longtime trainer, came up with the idea for the gym as he was leaving a Spin class he'd just taught: Why not create the same fun, high-energy experience set to music, but on treadmills instead of bikes?

Two years later, Runn Chicago is a reality, with 3,600 square feet of workout and stretching space and four trainers, including Kimble. The gym will offer 5- or 10-class passes for its 45-minute sessions.

Boston Marathon Documentary Screening
Are you running Boston 2018? Celebrate registration day by viewing the first feature-length documentary, "Boston: The Documentary" at the Landmark Century Centre Cinema on Sept. 11 at 7:30 p.m.

The film, narrated by Matt Damon, chronicles the story of the iconic race from its humble origins starting with only 15 runners to the present day. In addition to highlighting the event as the oldest annually contested marathon in the world, the film showcases many of the most important moments in more than a century of the race's history.
