A Note from Pastor Rall
As the congregation continues the call process in our search for a lead pastor, Mary Anne and I would like to update you on what's going on with us! As most of you know, I have received a part-time call from the Board for Missions to spend 4 months of each year in Papua New Guinea, where I will continue to teach at the Pidgin language seminary and conduct workshops for pastors and evangelists. We now have our work permits and are waiting for entry permits...continue reading

CONNECT AT TIMOTHY
Update from the Call Committee
Over the summer, the Committee reviewed materials for 22 candidates, half of whom were nominated by President Hagan. During August, the Call Committee will be conducting initial SKYPE interviews with the following pastors. Two other candidates indicated that they were not in a positionto consider a call at this time.
Andrew Dinger, Holy Trinity, Somerset, NJ
Andrew Fields, Immanuel, Valparaiso, IN
Eric Longman, St. Paul, Jackson, MO
Sean McCoy, Shepherd of the Hills, Skiatook, OK
Stephen Miller, St. Andrew, Silver Spring, MD
Jason Taylor, Zion, New Palestine, IN
After the initial interviews, the Committee will chose several candidates with whom to conduct further, in-depth SKYPE interviews in early September before bringing a recommendation to the congregation by late September.

Bethesda Lutheran Communities
Message from Peter Ferry

Since 1904, Bethesda Lutheran Communities has been dedicated to providing services for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Bethesda's mission, to enhance the liv es of people with inte llectual and developmental disabilities through services that share the good news of Jesus Christ, has remained the same since Bethesda's beginning. Today, Bethesda provides services in 13 different states, including Missouri and Kansas, and supports over 2000 people. People with developmental and intellectual disabilities want to lead full, rich lives, and Bethesda helps make that possible. In addition to providing day to day care, Bethesda also provides job programs, day centers, and social events for people we support. Most importantly, all services that Bethesda provides share the message of Jesus. In addition to supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, Bethesda also equips Churches with the proper resources and materials to help integrate and welcome people with intellectual and developmental disabilities into their Church communities.
Bethesda resources help Pastors with confirmation materials, Bible studies, and more. Bethesda's goal is to make sure every Church in the LCMS has the ability and information needed to welcome people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. In today's world, everyone knows someone with a developmental or intellectual disability. There is a constant and growing need for Bethesda's mission and ministry. Peter Ferry, who visited Timothy Lutheran on August 19th, is a Mission Support Counselor. Peter's job is to share updates and information about how Bethesda is supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and to help make people aware of the need in their communities to reach out to those who need Bethesda's services. One of the best ways to help Bethesda's mission is to make sure that those with intellectual or developmental disabilities that you know are being treated with dignity, equality and respect. Another way is to donate to Bethesda to help support Bethesda's ministry and faith-based materials. Please feel free to reach out to Peter directly at [email protected] if there is someone you know who could benefit from Bethesda's services or if you'd like to make a donation.
