Donate Life!
Register on Sunday, June 3!
There are currently more than 115,000 people in the U.S. waiting for organ transplants and 2,400 live right here in Virginia. Did you know that you can be a living donor? Living donation is when a living person donates bone marrow, an organ or part of an organ to another person. The living donor may be a relative, friend, or a stranger that has volunteered to help someone else. Living donation usually involves a kidney, a segment of the liver, or the lobe of one lung. Did you know that a family member of a parishioner needs a kidney? On Sunday, June 3, Holy Comforter will hold a registry drive for organ and bone marrow donation. You don't need to lay down your life to save someone -- you can donate! Learn more HERE or contact the Rev. Valerie Hayes.

ADULT CHRISTIAN FORMATION
Adult Forum
This Sunday, May 20; 10:10 a.m. in the Chapel
Explore the Spirit's giving birth to the church through new speaking and hearing-even today. Acts 2:1-21.
"The story of Pentecost is not meant to be a benchmark of what the church should look like on any given Sunday. Rather, it seeks to communicate how important the church is and how inseparable it is from Christ. Every year, on the Day of Pentecost, we are reminded of who we are as a church, what we proclaim, and the source of that proclamation: Jesus Christ offers salvation to all, and the church exists to proclaim it." - Excerpt by the Rev. Dr. Kristen Emery Saldine, Austin Theological Seminary.
