Finding a Trauma-Responsive "Way of Being" Through Motivational Interviewing

Over the past few years there has been increased attention on Motivational Interviewing (MI) as an evidenced-based practice that supports both engagement and change. MI is a “way of being with others” that can strengthen relationships and open the door to behavior change. MI is collaborative and compassionate, while recognizing and honoring the autonomy of every individual.
During this training we will explore the relationship between Trauma- Responsive Care (TRC), Motivational Interviewing skills/interventions and how compassion/caring supports a safe and trusting environment.
Virtual Session 1: Friday, May 8th 8:45am to 11:45am - Virtual Session 2: May 14th 8:45am to 11:45am .

If you are interested in attending the training, please contact Lucy at ldas-mohan@cdcli.org by Wednesday, April 29th.
