Quince Prayer
RIVER MINISTRY
Ruth Ortiz, River Ministry Missionary in Laredo and Nuevo Laredo, told us about a quinceañera that recently took place in one of the refugee centers. A young lady was kidnapped the day she turned 15, and later released with her father. They arrived at one of the refugee centers where she mentioned to us with tears in her eyes where she spent her 15th birthday. She was crying because she had saved some money for her quinceañera but after they were kidnapped, all they had was taken away from them, including the money for her quinceañera.
A few sisters from different churches came together and began planning a quinceañera in one of the refugee centers. In a week or so, one sister had donated a dress, someone else was bringing the cake, some migrant families were cooking, and the remainder were assisting with anything needed. She was so happy to have the opportunity to celebrate with her father and friends another year of life the Lord granted her.
She shared a few words during the ceremony of how thankful she was to God. She stated: "In that moment when you feel no one is there to help, God is there, and he listens. He will never leave or abandon any of us. I encourage you to trust and follow him. Today, I am not able to celebrate my birthday with my family. However, I am so thankful to each of you who made this possible. God is good and may God Bless You."

BOUNCE Participants
BOUNCE FOR YOUTH!
During the summers of 2018 and 2019, BOUNCE had the opportunity and privilege to partner with Missions Centers of Houston for the purpose of Disaster Recovery in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey. Last summer, BOUNCERS were able to also be involved in some community rehabilitation efforts in the area. One such project was the renovation of the Fletcher Mission Center House. BOUNCE recently received the following note from its new occupants:

As we spend our first night here at the newly renovated Fletcher House we are praising God for what He has done to make this dream come true. It is truly remarkable! We want to express our heartfelt gratitude to you for giving your time, talent, and treasure in helping to make it happen. Because of you, we are now living in the community we've dedicated our lives to serving in Jesus' name.
May God bless you richly,
Juan & Lucia Ayala

BOUNCE was blessed to be able to play a part in completing the renovation of the Fletcher House. A great group of highly motivated middle school BOUNCERS tackled the project. Their efforts and the efforts of others will help Fletcher House continue to be a beacon of hope in Houston.

Vegetable Garden
We Still Need Seeds:
It may still be winter, but it is time to plan for Spring! Your small group or church can start collecting seeds to help our River Ministry Missionaries plant community gardens this Spring that will help break down barriers to communicate the gospel.

Click here to print a list of seeds that are needed. Contact [email protected] for where to send your seeds if you are near the border. If you are in North Texas, you can mail or deliver them to the Texas Baptists office.
MAP Spain
MISSIONARY ADOPTION PROGRAM (MAP)
Luiguii is a MAP Missionary serving in Spain. He asks for prayer for his church. The church start is now so big it is growing out of the current location. Pray with us for a new, larger location, for wisdom and spiritual strength.

Look this amazing news from our missionary Gabriel Fonseca in Brazil...
"For God’s glory we were able to build a playground for our kids here in Caiambé community [in the Amazon]. It’s so gratifying to see the joy and happiness in those kids faces just for the simple fact that they have the freedom to play around. Pray for the kids in Amazon!"

We have missionaries waiting to be adopted from $50 to $250. Your church, small group, or even your family can directly sponsor a missionary, have contact with that missionary, and even work alongside that missionary. Contact David Miranda with MAP for more information on how to join MAP today.
Danilo
WELCOME DANILO ANTUNES
We are excited that Danilo Antunes will be helping Missions Team as our E-Training Equipper. He is still serving as the pastor of Primera Iglesia Bautista Haltom City, and helping us part-time. As the E-Training Equipper, Danilo is ready to talk to your church about the opportunity you have to get a $600 gift from us – MinistryGrid Training. Texas Baptists Churches can receive this tool for free through us, no strings attached. Want to know more about this tool or how to get your subscription? Email [email protected].

Mentorship Groups
URBAN MISSIONS
By Meredith Rose, Contributing writer
The Texas Baptists Missions Team is dedicated to helping churches reach their communities, their cities, the nation and, ultimately, the world for Christ. Understanding that this is no easy task, they encourage churches to pursue intentional discipleship, where Christ’s followers are multiplied and the church is collectively empowered to spread the Gospel further.

Last summer, Texas Baptists Missions Specialist David Miranda organized a gathering of several Texas Baptists church leaders from the Dallas area. His goal was to understand how the Missions Team could better equip young ministers to spread the Gospel.

The first Devoted session was held last spring and attracted a variety of people with different mentorship needs.

In order to reach each group effectively, the Missions Team has created three mentorship groups with unique purposes. As the Missions Mentoring Program continues to develop, these three mentorship groups are seeing exponential growth and success.

Missionary Tomas
MISSIONARY ADOPTION PROGRAM (MAP)
Reflection from the missionary field, Tomás Corrêa:

"The apostle Peter, writing his letters to Christians who were being persecuted in Asia Minor, speaks of the joy that the saved have in their salvation. A call to live with your heart in Heaven even with your feet walking through earthly trials. Salvation brings with it a godly and transformed life. Transformed understanding, transformed life!

The saved live in holiness, with reverence and in love, longing for Glory because he knows that his place is there. That is the true revival: Lives transformed amid the chaos of the world. May we live the joy of being God's chosen people.

'Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you' (1 Peter 1: 3-4)"

PRAY FOR MISSIONS
First we want to thank the  Texas Baptists Missions Foundation (TBMF) for their work in helping to fund the Missions Team, along with church gifts to the Cooperative Program  and the  Mary Hill Davis Offering  for Texas Missions. Your gifts through each of these and direct gifts to the Missions Team make it possible for everything you read above and more! If you don't currently support the Missions Team monetarily, consider contacting TBMF through the link above to learn how to do so. All gifts are tax deductible.

The best way to effectively support all of our mission endeavors is through prayer. Your prayers DO make an impact on ministry!
