Woodlawn Park, POAH's major redevelopment on the South Side of Chicago has received the 2018 Chicago Community Trust Outstanding Community Plan Award and Woodlawn Station, POAH's mixed used development within Woodlawn Park, is a finalist in the Affordable Housing Finance magazine Readers' Choice Awards.
Billings Forge (right), an affordable housing complex originally built as a tool factory in 1864 and beautifully restored by POAH last year was recognized by the Connecticut Trust for Historic Preservation.

Green Energy certifications could do so much more
There are many choices when labeling your building project as energy and water efficient. Building owners use these labels to market units for rent or sale, to show funders they are committed to green buildings, to satisfy requirements for Low Income Tax Credits (LIHTC), comply with zoning in some locations, or to secure funds through incentive programs. These labels or certifications have real benefits but could do so much more to inform the world of affordable housing.

The 28-page POAH booklet describes the organization's mission, highlights featured properties, and includes updated facts and figures about the owned portfolio.
The POAH Chicago folder is a summary of POAH's revitalization work in Chicago over ten years with narratives and images illustrating the various facets of the redevelopment.
