Summer Fun at our Youth Programs! |

Miss New Bedford 2018 visiting Girls Exclusive at Temple Landing
|
All of the participants of the 2018 Girls Exclusive Summer Program had a wonderful time. The girls went on many fabulous field trips such as Water Wizz and Round the Bend Farm in Dartmouth.
Aside from field trips, the girls had a great time learning about finances, social and racial justice and civic engagement by hosting and coordinating their own bake sale. All of the funds raised went towards their end of summer Water Wizz field trip. The girls also visited Congressman Bill Keating's Office for YWCA Advocacy Day. It was a great opportunity for the girls to advocate for issues important to them such as immigration and racial profiling.
Thank you Temple Landing for hosting our program this summer!
We look forward to a new school year with Girls Exclusive.

YWkids had an outstanding summer! They went on many field trips, such as Lego Land, Southwick Zoo and Carousel. They also had onsite visitors such as Barn Babies and Mad Science! We also participated in fitness activities such as yoga and kept up with our summer reading with assistance from New Bedford Public School teachers.

YWCA Southeastern Massachusetts
Under One Roof Project
Summer 2018
|
The YWCA Under One Roof Project was finally set in motion this summer! The project is moving rather rapidly! The construction workers have been hard at work each day, despite the extreme heat, to make our dream a reality. It is absolutely amazing to see dirt and gravel morph into a building over the course of a few short months. Please click
HERE to view the rest of the construction pictures online.
