Some Sadness, Some Joy
It's been a very busy and eventful first two months of 2020, both personally and with the ministry. I will share three impactful things which occurred since our December 2019 newsletter.
As a Believer in Jesus, I rejoice that a precious friend in Arad, Romania has gone home to be with Jesus in February. However, in my human emotions I am so very sad she is no longer on this side of eternity. Jackie Ramsey was a dynamic force in the Body of Christ as she ministered in so many ways with passion in and around Arad, and in other countries.
In August 2010 Mary Jill (Engaging Women Ministries), Jackie and I ministered together at a women's gathering hosted by Jackie. It was a very hot summer evening, but what a wonderful time together with the ladies! A fabulous memory for me!
Through the years, I had the joy of staying in Jackie's home, going with her to give food and wood to the widows in the Widow's Mite program, and participating on a Tuesday at Mocrea - a psychiatric facility where the residents joyfully shouted out the windows as we approached. They loved Jackie, and she loved them. Hearing the Word, singing, doing crafts, having snacks and playing some Bible games were the highlights of their week.
There was so much more that Jackie did over the years with Roma (Gypsy) children and families, starting and leading a church in Vinga, summer camps for kids, and her most treasured role as grandmother to her two granddaughters. Please pray for them and for the ministry partners Jackie has left behind who will carry on the passions lit in her heart so many years ago. We shall see each other again one day...
