Lead in Drinking Water Results Ready for 'Back to School' Season. The first analysis done at the statewide level shows that lead is present in at least one water outlet in more than 300 schools, across all areas of the state. Download the report, prepared by New Jersey Future.

The Association of New Jersey Environmental Commissions will be hosting its 2017 Environmental Congress on Oct. 13.
Speakers include: Keynote address: Dawn Zimmer, Mayor, City of Hoboken;  Plenary Panel:  James Florio, Former Governor, State of New Jersey,  Lisa Plevin, Former Chief of Staff, USEPA Region 2,  Cindy Ehrenclou, Executive Director, Raritan Headwaters Association.

Apply today to the New Jersey One Water Awards! 

The inaugural  New Jersey One Water Awards program is now accepting nominations! Entries may be submitted in three categories:
  • Public: Open to local, regional and state-level public entities in New Jersey including municipalities, counties, state agencies and utilities
  • Private: Open to investor-owned water utilities and other private-sector firms and institutions
  • Nonprofit/academic: Open to nonprofit organizations and academic institutions

If you are interested in submitting a nomination you can do so  here .  All submissions must be received by midnight Sept. 30, 2017.

Imagine a Day Without Beer!   The Value of Water Campaign's Imagine a Day Without Water event will take place Oct. 12.  This year, Jersey Water Works will be celebrating the value of water in a fun and unique way.  More details to come!

Promoting Green Streets: A recipe for integrating water and transportation infrastructure investment (The River Network). A pilot project in Nashville aims to encourage integration of stormwater and transportation infrastructure investment.

Storm Water Solutions Top Projects :   Storm Water Solutions  invites industry professionals to nominate remarkable and innovative stormwater and erosion control projects for recognition at the fall Virtual Expo and in the November/December 2017 issue of the magazine.   Nominations  must be made by  Sept. 1 .

Catalyzing Green Infrastructure on Private Property: Recommendations for a Green, Equitable, and Sustainable New York City  (Natural Resources Defense Council and the NYU Stern Center for Sustainable Business). Recommendations for stimulating widespread use of green infrastructure on private property, in order to help reduce stormwater runoff from existing development.
