Your response matters.

The Census is used to determine the number of seats each state has in Congress, how federal and state legislative districts are redrawn and how billions of dollars in federal funding flow into states and communities each year. This funding is for school lunches, highways, firefighters, families in need and more. Census results affect our community.

The 2020 Census starts this month. Next week, residents will begin to receive letters to respond to the 2020 Census. For the first time, the U.S. Census Bureau will accept responses online and phone, but you can still respond by mail if you prefer.

Congratulations to local artist Cynthia Young! Cynthia was recognized as a Hoosier Women Artists honoree by Lieutenant Governor Suzanne Crouch, Indiana State Treasurer Kelly Mitchell and the Indiana Arts Commission. The Hoosier Women Artists program, established in 2008, celebrates the importance of the arts in Indiana’s communities by showcasing the work of talented Indiana female artists.

Cynthia is the artist behind both the Walking Man Sculpture at Town Hall and the dahlia themed traffic control box at 106th and Zionsville Road.
