What motivates international students to engage with their institution on social media? What content works or doesn't work for them? This interactive workshop introduces you to a strategic framework to understand students' needs and goals around the use of social media and to integrate this understanding into your social media content strategies to facilitate meaningful engagement that builds relationships.
ABOUT THE PRESENTER:
Momoko Fujita (MBus, BA)
Momoko is a Sessional Lecturer and final-year PhD Candidate in Marketing at the University of Western Australia Business School. She is also a passionate digital marketing practitioner and consultant with diverse industry experience, including her digital marketing roles within the WA tertiary sector and ongoing collaboration with UWA's Student Communications team.
Momoko's research focuses on social media marketing in higher education with an emphasis on how social media can be strategically used to enhance student-university relationships and how students respond. Her work has appeared in the International Journal of Educational Management, Journal of Marketing Theory and Practice, Journal of Global Scholars of Marketing Science, and has been presented at several international marketing conferences.
