It was the night before my son’s bar mitzvah, and we had invited 50 members of our family over for dinner. Just as the food was being served, boom. No more lights.
What do you do? You find flashlights, well really cell phone flashlights and then search for real flashlights and candles. The good news is that we had all the food in chafing dishes that were powered by Sterno, we just couldn’t see it very well. Fortunately, we had about 50 candles in my house and a few flashlights. Candlelight dinner. Problem solved.
The reality is that it is hard to prepare for every possible emergency scenario, but some things we know we will need. Flashlights and candles are an eventuality. However, some things, like Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) are harder to prepare for. Over the last few weeks, The HR Team has been working with our clients to create emergency work plans and contingencies. The CDC has also issued
guidance for employers
.
During this difficult time, we will continue to work with our clients as their HR. We thank you for the trust you have placed in us.
