COVID-19 Update: March 27, 2020
Schools to remain closed until May 4, 2020
As an ongoing proactive measure to slow the spread of COVID-19, all Sacramento County school districts are extending school closures through May 1, 2020. This is a unified decision made in consultation with Sacramento County Public Health and in collaboration with school district leaders throughout Sacramento County. During the extended closure, plans for distance learning and meal service will continue as planned.

Pending further direction from the Governor or Sacramento County Public Health, Folsom Cordova schools are scheduled to reopen Monday, May 4, 2020.

Special Message from Superintendent Koligian:
We, like our communities, want students back in school and to return to normalcy as soon as possible. But not at the risk of their health and safety. New information is surfacing rapidly, and we will continue to diligently monitor the situation, re-evaluate our steps, and take direction from public health experts in the coming weeks.

County no longer reporting positive COVID cases in students, employees
From Sacramento County Public Health: As we now have ongoing transmission of COVID-19 in Sacramento County, and our community continues to follow the Health Officer's Order to Shelter in Place issued on March 19, 2020, notification regarding potential contacts to cases will no longer be provided, and school districts are not required to provide any notifications.

Everyone, except for those providing or receiving essential services, should be staying home, especially anyone who is feeling ill.  Anyone who develops symptoms of COVID-19 should call their healthcare provider for further guidance before going to the doctor.

District continues work on agreement with classified staff
Folsom Cordova is grateful for the ongoing contributions of our classified support staff during this time of uncertainty.

The District continues to work with employee leadership in CSEA (California School Employees Association) to finalize a Memorandum of Understanding that will address the many questions and concerns shared among our non-teaching staff.

In the meantime, we offer our sincere gratitude to our staff whose patience, flexibility, and hard work during these past two weeks has been critical to ensuring a smooth transition to an extended District closure.
