NIHCArewards Reminder:

Fall is upon us.  NIHCA would like to encourage all facilities, to take the time to log into NIHCArewards to clean up and edit some of your member records.

If a member cancelled from your club, change their status to Cancelled.
If the member is no longer eligible, change their status to Expired.

The point is, we want you to have clean, accurate records each month so you are A.  NOT submitting for someone that you shouldn't be and B.  Keeping your data clean in NR so you don't have inaccurate, old member data sitting OK or Active in the system.

Call NIHCA to help you pull a report in NIHCArewards so you can clean up your file.  Take the time.  It matters.

The Personal Health Investment Today Act (PHIT - H.R.1267 and S.482) will allow Americans to use flexible spending accounts (FSAs) and health savings accounts (HSAs) to pay for health club memberships, fitness equipment, exercise videos, and youth sports leagues. Currently, the IRS code only allows these accounts to be used for medical expenses like prescription medications and doctor visits. If passed, it will allow individuals to use up to $1,000 per year to cover these expenses and families to use up to $2,000 per year.  You as a consumer and/or as a fitness facility, may vote to help pass this in congress - submit your vote/letter by clicking here:   http://hub.ihrsa.org/phit-act
