ALLELUIA! ALLELUIA! ALLELUIA!
Greetings from Mr. Gault

ALLELUIA!  ALLELUIA!  ALLELUIA!  CHRIST THE LORD IS RISEN.

At The De La Salle School we traditionally conclude Lent with the praying of the Stations of the Cross during Holy Week.  It has been a long-standing tradition that the eighth-grade class prepare then lead us in this reflection on the passion and death of Jesus. We offer our students' reenactment of aspects of Jesus's way of the cross to the parishioners of Our Holy Redeemer and to all in the larger community as an invitation to reflect on the greatness of God's love for each of us.  Due to social distancing and regulations related to COVID-19 that was not possible this year.

In a true Lasallian spirit however, the eighth-grade students under the guidance of their homeroom teacher Mr. Donodeo and Principal Mrs. Becker found a creative way to continue the tradition for The De La Salle School community.  Using technology, the class of 2020 came together online to create and narrate a beautiful PowerPoint presentation that was recorded to be shared with all our school families.  On Good Friday at 3:00 PM, the school community gathered online and together we all listened and prayed a very moving presentation of the Stations of the Cross.  It was an excellent way for all of us to reflect on the Easter Tridium.  We invite you to enjoy this wonderful presentation provided for you below.

Despite today's uncertainties and many challenges our School continues to generate wonderful success stories. Even in these trying times, our students continue to amaze us and make us proud.  Your gift of hope has helped the entire Class of 2020 to gain admittance to a Catholic High School in the Fall. All of our eighth-grade students will be attending Kellenberg Memorial High School or Chaminade High School. This wonderful news is a direct result of your continued prayers and support of our mission.

We continue to hold all of our friends and benefactors in our prayers and ask all of you to continue to pray for the success of our school and our students.

Please be well, stay safe and may the risen Lord protect and bless each of you!
