OHIO'S WEEKLY EMPLOYMENT CLAIMS TOP 200,000 FOR SECOND TIME
For the second week in a row, unemployment compensation claims topped 200,000 filings. The latest U.S. Department of Labor report shows more than 224,000 Ohioans filed for unemployment during the week ending on April 4.

BWC BOARD OF DIRECTORS UNANIMOUSLY APPROVED THE 1.6 BILLION DOLLAR EMPLOYMENT REBATE
Directors unanimously approved the $1.6 billion dollar employer rebate as recommended by Governor DeWine and BWC Administrator McCloud.

OHIO'S UNEMPLOYMENT NUMBERS SPIKE FOR SECOND WEEK IN A ROW

The coronavirus continues to impact the Buckeye State’s economy and our workforce as more than 272,000 Ohioans filed for unemployment benefits during the week ending on March 28 according to the latest report from the U.S. Department of Labor.

OFFICE OF SMALL BUSINESS RELIEF ANNOUNCED
At Governor Mike DeWine’s almost daily 2:00 p.m. press conference on April 7, Lieutenant Governor Jon Husted announced the creation of the Office of Small Business Relief (OSBR).

PRELIMINARY MARCH TAX INFORMATION ANNOUNCED FOR OHIO
The preliminary general revenue tax receipts for the month of March were released by Ohio’s OBM. The good news is that the state of Ohio is still above yearly tax receipt estimates.
