The Financial independence team wants to ensure we are taking all necessary precautions to protect the health and safety of our employees, clients and their families. As such, effective immediately, I asked my entire team to work remotely for the next two weeks. Unfortunately, no one knows how quickly the virus will spread, when it will peak or when it will subside.
We're staying on top of the news on a moment-to-moment basis to make sure we can plan ahead and react quickly to any new developments. But being realistic, it's probably going to get worse before it gets better. We will revisit the two-week timeframe and may extend it if circumstances warrant.
Beyond health and safety, our top priority has always been to deliver exceptional service, guidance and advice to our clients. We have planned for situations like this and have a robust business continuity plan in place that enables the secure and timely continuation of our business operations. Our technological infrastructure and supporting contingency plans allow us to work remotely with little disruption. We remain committed to making sure our operations continue to run smoothly, and to maintain the quality and timeliness of service you’ve come to know and expect from Financial Independence.
If you have a meeting scheduled in the office during the next two weeks, Kerry will reach out to you to provide you with the option to meet virtually at the scheduled date and time (conference call / web conference) or reschedule your meeting.
