Help Businesses That Support LT
In a recent article written by Melody Warnick, she stated, "Social distancing is the right thing to do right now full stop. But the worry is that if everyone stays home, we won't just shut down COVID-19, we shut down small businesses as well."  Check out her 10 ways to support struggling local businesses during the pandemic.

A great place to start is with the generous businesses who donated to the LTSF Silent Auction. We are so grateful for their gifts and know you are too. Supporting them at this difficult time is another way to say thanks!
LTSF & Friends Helping
 MSDLT Families
On Wednesday, March 18th, Lawrence Township School Foundation staff, along with friend, Trace Yates, packed up meal bags for our families. The Foundation closely aligns with the MSD of Lawrence Township and we are here to support their efforts by helping MSDLT families and friends.

On Friday, March 20th, we joined forces again, this time packing school supplies. These packs will be distributed to students at locations offering food in MSD of Lawrence Township. Thank you Margo Korn (Lawrence Central, Class of 2014) for joining us.

We are so grateful for everyone who has reached out to lend a hand, made a donation, or offered support. We are fortunate to be part of such a caring community. #LTSFcares

Grab and go breakfasts and lunches for a five-day period have been available and will continue to be on the following Mondays: April 6, April 13, April 20, and April 27 between 11 AM - 1 PM. I n ongoing efforts to support the community, on Wednesday, March 25th, the Health Sciences program at the McKenzie Center for Innovation & Technology donated remaining medical equipment to those who need it at Community Health Network. Lawrence Township is proud to support our community any way we can.

In continued support of LT students and their school pride, Lawrence
North PFO and the Lawrence Central Bears Athletic Club held a virtual spirit week. From twin day to neon day, the students, faculty, and families had a fun, engaging time sharing their school spirit from home! Check out Lawrence North PFO and Lawrence Central Bears Athletic Club on Twitter to check out all the fun and excitement.

LT Elementary school faculty and staff are also participating in various virtual spirit weeks. Mary Castle staff, students, and families have been sharing what they are reading. Some staff and families have created videos to keep students encouraged and engaged during this time of off-site learning. You can view a video of Principal Blythe of Mary Castle Elementary School here and view other engaging ways staff are communicating with their students.

On Tuesday, March 24th, t eachers from Winding Ridge Elementary School gathered to have a parade in the neighborhoods they serve. Many kiddos and their families were excited about the parade and all the cheer the teachers were able to bring. A special thank you to Lawrence Police for offering escorting services! You can view a short clip of the parade  here

I n times of uncertainty such as this, we see the best of our community emerge. Take care of yourself and your neighbors.
Celebration Went Virtual

On behalf of the children in Lawrence Township who benefit from the Celebration, we'd like to say thank you to those who participated virtually and helped the show go on!

Thank you to the many volunteers and staff members who put countless hours into making the event a success. Also thank you to all the  sponsors  and  donors   for their gifts.  Everyone's generosity is proof that we are a strong and vibrant community who make magic happen for our kids.
You will be happy to know that all food purchased for the event was donated to Second Helpings. Though we weren't able to be together, join us in celebrating how we helped others.

We will continue to work through the details of changing an event of this magnitude and will communicate information as available. Please contact Cori Korn with any questions or concerns by
email    or at 317-423-8302 .

You can still participate in  FUND THE NEEDS We generally raise $32,000 during this portion of the event and these unrestricted gifts help make so many programs possible. You make the impact when you SAY YES!

Our hope is that we will be able to proceed with the event and that you will, once again, join the event in support of the kids. Please mark your calendars and expect more particulars regarding rules and regulations in the coming weeks as we determine whether the current COVID-19 situation will improve and allow us to proceed.
