I joined NAWIC as a way to network with women in construction. It has turned out to be way more! NAWIC provides a way to give back to the construction industry as well as giving educational funds to our future generations of women in construction.

Thank you To Our April
Raffle Sponsor, Angie Ziegler
I was born in Tucson and with the exception of a few, brief moves during childhood, have lived here the majority of my life. I married my high school sweetheart, Jon, in 1976 and we have two sons. Jon II is a mechanical engineer and works for GLHN Architects and Engineers. Our youngest son, Zachary, is a producer/ reporter for KNAU in Flagstaff. His wife, Ashley is a Physical Therapy doctor. We have one adorable granddaughter, Anna who is the light of our lives.
I found my true calling when I became a parent. I was incredibly fortunate to be a “stay-at-home” mom for many years. In 1993 Jon’s boss suddenly became ill, and Jon began taking over the day to day operations of the business. Jon and I officially became the owners of General Air Control in 1994 and life hasn’t slowed down since. In the beginning I felt like a fish out of water in the business world, but good friends in groups like NAWIC have made all the difference in how I transitioned into the
real world
. I have been blessed beyond measure in my life and my NAWIC sisters are among my most treasured blessings.
