This weekend's beautiful weather will serve as the perfect backdrop for TWO of Glendale's most popular events - the 25
th
Annual Glendale Chocolate Affaire/Experience and the 30
th
Annual Early Day Gas Engine and Tractor Show at Sahuaro Ranch Park! For the first time, the Chocolate Experience will be held in our beautiful Civic Center in downtown Glendale - just one block from its former location in Murphy Park. The Civic Center offers indoor, as well as outdoor space, and for the first time will allow opportunities to enjoy your favorite wine paired with your favorite chocolate. Businesses and restaurants in Catlin Court and throughout downtown Glendale will offer chocolate-themed reasons for you to stop in and visit!
The tractor and gas engine show is always a crowd pleaser, and this year will feature the re-dedication of the restored dairy barn, horse barn, and blacksmith's shop. Saturday's events begin at 8am with a tractor drive up 59
th
Avenue from City Hall to Sahuaro Ranch Park with Councilmembers driving historic tractors! Come watch up pop the clutch, grind the gears, and stall in traffic! A good time for participants and spectators alike. More information on both events can be found elsewhere in this newsletter.
