Dear School Families,
There are so many wonderful things happening at Holy Rosary. This week our students have had so many experiences that included a special visit from the developer of the Spanish program, Rockalingua, and field trips to the Exploratorium, the State Capitol, Clayton Valley Farm and the Dow Wetlands. These programs give our students enriched experiences that bring the curriculum to life.
We have some busy and exciting days ahead of us for our school community. Our 8th grade "Leading with Faith" student leadership have prepared a fun town hall to kick off MARE Week. Come join us on the blacktop at 9:00 a.m. tomorrow. The annual Holy Rosary Parish Auction is Saturday night. The one of kind classroom items are showcased in the office and the bidding frenzy has started! Come back on Sunday for our Holy Hotcakes, Vendor Sales and the First Student Art Exhibit. Our very talented students have prepared amazing artwork that will be showcased down the Junior High Hallway and the Portable deck area. Our Prekindergarten and Little Dominicans Preschool Learning Center will be open 10 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. to share information on the program. At the 10:30 a.m. and 12:10 masses, Bishop Barber will be speaking to our parish community on the transition from our loved Dominican priests to the Diocesan priests.
All of these activities highlight our community. I encourage you to participate and support these events that make Holy Rosary so unique. A sign of Christ's presence is Unity. Our school and parish events give us those opportunities to be together and share our love of God in unity.

Assembly Member Jim Frazier shares a conversation and lunch with our 8th grade students at the State Capitol.
Parents & Our Catholic Identity
Raising children in the faith can be challenging at times because that requires us as parents to live out our faith. These children are like sponges and just soak in every bit that we give them. We are modeling what it is to be a Christian. In moments that I struggle as a mom, I think of our Blessed Mother Mary. Even though her son was God, he was still 100% human. I ask myself, how did she deal with Jesus' terrible twos and three-year old moments? If my son was the son of God, is this how I would parent him? We are building foundations. With everything going on in this world, our kids need strong foundations. Click here to read more about The Garcias.
