BREWSTER DAY CAMP          Newsletter    August 12th, 2018        Vol. 36 Issue 17

Hello Brewster Day Camp!

We CELEBRATE everyday! A CELEBRATION is an acknowledgement of a significant event or happy day with a gathering or activity. We CELEBRATE our happiest and most important moments, and we CELEBRATE our good fortune by enjoying camp to the fullest. We also CELEBRATE the conclusion of these moments, events, and experiences by reflecting on all of the joy it has given us. At BDC, this CELEBRATION is perpetual!

Throughout the summer, I see our campers and staff at BDC CELEBRATING from the beginning of our camp season until the very end! We CELEBRATE finishing a year of learning and growing in school by competing with our friends in Knock Out on the basketball court, running around the bases on the Kickball Field, and exploring the low ropes elements on Mariners Hill. Throughout the summer, we CELEBRATE our accomplishments in all that BDC has to offer by collecting beads on our necklaces and engraving our Dog Tags. As we near the end of the summer, we CELEBRATE our competitive spirit during Olympic Day, and we CELEBRATE our creativity and excitement during Carnival Day. This week, we will have many CELEBRATIONS. We will CELEBRATE all of the fun we have had at camp throughout the summer by having the freedom to take the time that it takes to enjoy our favorite activities.

On Friday, we will CELEBRATE the finale of yet another safe and happy summer at Brewster Day Camp! We will join together on the MUGS Field for our end of the summer Council Fire CELEBRATION, where we will CELEBRATE all of the Courage, Hope, Good Spirit, & Peace that we have experienced this season!

This week's special event on Thursday is Wampanoag Day! Campers will have the opportunity to CELEBRATE their successes this summer by enjoying their favorite activities with the gift of time! What are you doing to CELEBRATE the end of summer?
