Village Approves Downtown Events
Each year, the Historic Downtown Long Grove Business Association presents yearly events they host in the downtown area which draw thousands to Long Grove. The Village provides a number of resources for these events to happen. The Village Board recently approved Chocolate Fest (May 5-17), Strawberry Fest (June 26-28) and Apple Fest (September 25-27). What You Can and Can't Recycle
Do you wonder about what you should - and should not - put in your recycling bin? If so, the Solid Waste Agency of Lake County (SWALCO) is here to help! A new interactive guide has been launched by SWALCO, in partnership with Recycle by City, which helps residents to know how to dispose of a variety of items, including electronics and hazardous waste. Information can be obtained simply by entering your home address at this link. Knowing what is appropriate to put in a recycling bin helps to reduce contamination, which often leads to higher recycling costs and other costs to the environment.
