Lunch and Learn Torah Study

Need a better way to spend your lunch hour?  Join Rabbi Magat on the fourth Wednesday of each month for an informal study and discussion session of a selected Torah portion. We will navigate through traditional interpretations and modern applications of our historic teachings.  Bring your lunch and be ready to get a new perspective on Torah. Open to members and non-members and no previous Torah study is required.
Sisterhood Hamantaschen Baking

Grab your Apron and Rolling Pin!  Bring the whole family!!  Sisterhood members and Religious School families get together to roll, fill and pinch Hamantaschen to be baked.  These scratch made cookies will be provided to students in class and the rest will be sold at the Purim Carnival.  Join us at 6:00 PM in the Temple House.  And do bring that rolling pin if you have one.  It's a fun time!

Brotherhood, the men's auxiliary at Temple Emanu-El leads a Shabbat service during the year. They have adapted a liturgy created by the Men of Reform Judaism, the national organization, adding their own selection of readings.

Erev Shabbat Family Service with 4th and 5th Grades

This service includes the participation of our 4th Grade Class with leadership from our 5th Grade Class. We're proud of our students and their participation and leadership in our service. Most Family Services are preceded by a congregational Shabbatluck potluck dinner.  We hope you share in this delightful Shabbat service with us.
Brotherhood Paid-Up Membership Dinner

Brotherhood will be holding our annual paid up dinner.  We invite all Brotherhood members and their significant others to attend.  This year we will be enjoying an expertly prepared New Orleans Style New York Strip Roast, Baked Potato, Brussel Sprouts, Dessert and Wine all included with your Brotherhood membership.  

This event is free for members of Brotherhood and their significant other.

Passover Candy

Passover arrives in Late-March, but it is not too early to order your Passover candy.  Place your orders on-line (PLEASE USE SCHOOL CODE 704652) or the old-fashioned way.  Either way, this is an important fundraiser for the school.  We receive 35% of the profits from all the sales.  This year all the profits will be added directly to the TEE Scholarship Fund.  So go out and sign up your relatives and friends.  ** Directions for on-line: Go to: ONLINE STORE, then: STUDENT SIGNUP.  Register at STUDENT SIGNUP by using the school code above.**

Baby Shabbat

Need a change from diapers and drool?  Join other parents on the second Saturday of every month for a Shabbat experience geared towards families with children ages 0-30 months.  Little ones will enjoy a service full of Shabbat songs, Torah stories, and parachute play!  Kiddush, motzi, and a bagel oneg sponsored by Temple Emanu-El Sisterhood will follow this fun-filled program.  This is a great opportunity for parents of young children to meet and form groups with their peers-maybe even lifelong friends!  Babies and bagels and blessings, oh my!
EESY Casino Night and Shul-In

All 8th graders and older! Please join Temple Emanu-El's Senior Youth Group, EESY, for our annual Casino Night, combined with our Shul In filled with casino games, karaoke, dinner, and much more! Arrive at Temple Emanu-El on March 10 at 5:00 PM, stay the night, and leave at 8:00 AM! If you have any more questions, feel free to speak with an EESY board member or contact us through our email! Youth Enrichment Scholarships
Apply by Sunday, March 11
Applications for youth summer scholarships are now being accepted by the Youth Enrichment Fund through March 11.  All who apply will receive a minimum of $100 and we will be awarding 2 $1000 merit scholarships which when matched by Newman will cover the ENTIRE cost of a 10 day session.  Need based awards are also available.  Applications are available on our website.

Mitzvah Project with Friends
Monday, February 26 at 7:30 PM at Congregation Shir Hadash in Los Gatos
Join Women's Philanthropy as we assemble purim bags (mishloach manot) for senior citizens in our area. It promises to be a fun evening socializing and doing our mitzvah project. The WP will provide all the items for the Purim bags. Wine and light nosh will be served. Start your Purim celebration early and put a smile on the faces of our local seniors! Silicon Valley Take Steps for Crohn's & Colitis
