Library Closure
Monday, May 28
The library will be closed all day Monday, May 28 for Memorial Day. We will reopen Tuesday, May 29 at 9 a.m. Enjoy your holiday!

Salad Bowls
Thursday, May 3, 6 - 7 p.m.
This hands-on workshop, taught by a Master Gardener, will teach you how to create and start seed tape indoors to grow your own ingredients for a fresh salad. All supplies provided.  For ages 18+.
Registration REQUIRED.

Summer Book Adventures Online Pre-Registration Begins!
Monday, May 14
The Broomfield Library offers Summer Book Adventures for ALL ages - children, teens, and adults!   The program starts  June 1 , but you can register online starting  May 14 . . . t hen you'll be ready to start logging your reading when  June 1  rolls around!
Registration REQUIRED beginning May 14.

Summer Food Drive
May 15 - June 30
Help out others in need! Bring non-perishable items to the bin outside the Children's Library. Items needed include canned fruit, oatmeal, baking mixes, cereal, Jell-O, condiments, cooking oil, jelly, juice, personal care items, baby wipes, diapers (4T, 5T), and pull-ups. All donations benefit Broomfield FISH, Inc. Food Bank.

Artist-in-Residence: Pinot's Palette
Tuesday, May 15, 3:30 - 6:30 p.m.
Thursday, May 17, 5 - 8 p.m.
Wednesday, May 23, 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Friday, May 25, 1 - 4 p.m.
Join a professional artist from Pinot's Palette and work with acrylics on a large community canvas. The artist will also guide you through a painting on a small individual canvas, or you can do a painting all your own! Please Note: Guided paintings will take place at the top of each hour on a first-come, first-served basis throughout every 3-hour workshop session.  For ages 10+.
Drop-in (no registration), but supplies and space are limited. First come, first served.
 

Local Author Fair
Saturday, May 19, 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Engage with authors from your own community as they introduce you to their books. Keynote address by renowned author John Shors in the Audi at 11 a.m. Fair opens at noon.  All ages welcome!
Drop-in (no registration).

Small Business Series: Building a Hardworking Website
Wednesday, May 23, 6:30 - 8 p.m.
This interactive 90-minute session covers what small business owners and nonprofits need to get their websites started and how to get the most out of them.  For ages 18+.
Registration REQUIRED.
Libraries Rock! Summer Book Adventures
June 1 - July 31
Get into the summer swing with the library's Summer Book Adventures for ALL ages - children, teens, and adults! Registration ends July 23, and the last day to turn in logs for prizes is July 31. Be sure to also check out our summer programs at B-REx.com.

Unsung Heroes: Lesser-Known Composers You'll Want to Know
Thursday, June 7, 7 - 8 p.m.
Active Minds will introduce you to American composers who deserve to be heard, but rarely are. Ages 15+.
Registration recommended.

4th Annual Knit In at the Broomfield Depot Museum
Saturday, June 9, 10 - 11:30 a.m.
Celebrate the World Wide Knit In Public Day at the Broomfield Depot Museum. All levels of knitters, crocheters, and embroiderers are invited to socialize and clank needles together. Drop-In.

Geocache Your Library!
Monday, June 11, 1 - 2 p.m.
Hey, teens, come learn about GPS scavenger hunts! Explore how geocaching works and collaborate to find geocaches around the library.

inventHQ Launch Party
