Ambassador of the Quarter

We are very proud to congratulate the deserving Terry Cain for being our first Ambassador of the Quarter in 2018!
Ms. Cain
is an Independent Associate with
LegalShield
who has gone above and beyond in recruiting and welcoming countless new chamber members and making them feel at home. Terry can be found at just about every Chamber ribbon cutting ceremony, Business After Hours event and Eggs & Issues breakfast. She also steps up whenever there is a special need, such as after Hurricane Irma, when she helped the Chamber reach out to local businesses that were affected by the storm to offer assistance and resources.
In true Ambassador fashion, Terry spent much of Bike Week 2018 volunteering at the Chamber's "Welcome Center" tent on Beach Street, welcoming visitors from all over the world to Volusia County and providing information and resources to help them enjoy their visit. "I have become so much more involved in my community since joining the Chamber three years ago and by volunteering to support the Chamber and its mission," said Terry.
"Through my association with the Chamber, I have also established lasting relationships and friendships that are just priceless."

Audition for the 5th Elevate Daytona Beach!
LDAC is seeking speakers for our next Elevate Daytona Beach to be held July 19, 2018. Elevate Daytona Beach is a creative outlet to share ideas, passions, and solutions to problems. Talks are quick, exciting five minute presentations supported by 20 auto-advancing slides. It is a great platform for anyone willing to share with the community.
Auditions will be held April 12th - 3:30 to 5:00 pm, April 19th - 3:30 to 5:30 pm, and April 26th - 3:30 to 5:30 pm at the Cici & Hyatt Brown Museum in the Education Room.

Appreciate Teachers May 7-11, 2018
The School District of Volusia County, Volusia United Educators and Daytona Regional Chamber need your help in celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week, May 7-11.
Businesses can show their support and appreciation by:
* Inviting your neighborhood schools to your business for a day or night in which you recognize the teachers and staff from those schools.
* Giving a discount, freebee or BOGO to an employee with a Volusia County School ID.
* Adopting a school that week and provide food or gifts to all teachers and staff...especially those schools with no PTAs. You may also want to work with school PTAs to help support the events they do.
* Or your business can donate financially to a specific school to help with supplies or equipment that the school might need.
