There is some chirping in the hallways... not the children, but the chicks! The preschool's Hatch-A-Coop program brings joy to the whole school as we watch the growth of two chickens already hatched and 7 eggs in an incubator. Three weeks from now, we will rejoice as new checks hatch!
In the depths of the maintenance shop of the school, lots of work has been underway to add a beautiful new kiln to our campus! We will be testing it soon and hope to do some initial projects before school is out with some of our classes. The good news is that ceramics will be something that all our students will start experiencing during art class next school year! We are also busy finalizing plans for the update of the gym floor this summer, thanks to our wonderful annual fund donors. We haven't reached our annual fund goal yet, so we are grateful to the families who have already responded to our Annual Fund Participation Challenge, and we look forward to doing the summer update.
Third quarter report cards go home in folders today. Be sure to review them and return them signed to your teacher. The Powerschool portal for grades 3 - 8 will reopen next week!
Many blessings,
Kathleen McNutt
Principal
