City of Birmingham, MI
Old Woodward Reconstruction Project Update - 4/20/18

Contractors will be busy this weekend (Saturday, 4-21 and Sunday, 4-22) on the Old Woodward Reconstruction Project. The intersection of Old Woodward and Maple will be closed as crews tackle underground utility work. Meanwhile, sewer crews are busy north of Merrill and at the Old Woodward and Maple intersection. Fiber optic installation is ongoing, with work moving to the south end of the construction zone at Old Woodward and Brown.

With pleasant weather finally in the forecast, the public is encouraged to come downtown during construction and support city merchants. And, take advantage of the free parking now available in all City parking structures on weekends (Saturdays and Sundays).

Thank you for your patience as we work to  transform the underground functionality and the above-ground aesthetics of downtown Birmingham for decades to come.
