From Father Kim,

Dear All,
With everything in the news related to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) it easy to panic. A review of the available information indicates that panic is, at least so far, unnecessary. Here at St. James’ we are going to practice smart procedures during any Flu season. Let us minimize shaking hands. At the Peace I invite you to offer a bow to each other. Before Communion all Eucharistic ministers will use hand sanitizer. Studies show that intinction is not the best option. (If you do intinct be absolutely sure to not touch the wine with your fingers). If you are sick please stay home! If you have a fever be sure you are fever-free for 24 hours (without fever reducers) before going out. These are simple steps that are prudent during any flu season! As always, keep the situation in your prayers.

From Lola

Dear Saint James' friends,

Thank you so very much for my delicious and thoughtful Sunday brunch. It was wonderful to see so many friendly faces. You all came to mean so much to me during my three years with you and I will miss you. Thank you, too, for the very generous gifts. The wooden St. James' Church is standing in my office; the beautiful pottery looks lovely in my kitchen, filled with wooden spoons; and the charming silver necklace has become a favorite piece already. Many thanks indeed!
