CONGRATULATIONS FLYING PANTHERS!
 
Congratulations to the SCCS 7th Grade Drone Racing Team, The Flying Panthers! The team competed this past weekend at Huron High School and won first place! Team members of the Flying Panthers are: Olivia Morse, Nathan Wehner, Sage Ralofsky, Tanner Parkison, Aubrey Heyman, Boston Kennedy, Dylan Myers, Dominic Myers, Matthew Capizzi, Max Chamberlain, and Mason Kolycheck. The team is led by Mr. John May and Ms. Lena Camella. Come check out the Flying Panthers in action Saturday, May 5 at Kalahari.

We have been informed that the EdChoice Expansion Scholarship deadline is April 30 and will not re-open in July, as it has in the past. This means that all new and renewal scholarship applications MUST be submitted before the April 30 deadline, or they will be denied. No applications will be accepted after that date. Please submit applications to SCCS by April 23 so we have time to process them before the deadline. If you need copies of forms or help with the application process, please contact Mrs. Chrissy Snow at 419-626-1892, ext. 311 or [email protected].

MOTHER/DAUGHTER DANCE
On Sunday, May 6, the Panther Cheerleaders are hosting "Boots and Bling," a mother/daughter dance in celebration of Mother's Day. The dance is from 6:30pm-8:00pm in the Multi Purpose Room, and is open to daughters in preschool through grade 8 and Moms, Grandmothers, or any other influence deserving of celebration. Desserts, light snacks, and beverages will be served. Professional keepsake photos will be taken, so wear your best country gear! Please click here for a registration form.

 
MARCOS PIZZA NIGHT
SCCS has partnered this year with Marco's Pizza, located at 625 East Perkins Avenue, for a monthly fundraising opportunity. 15% of your total order will be donated back to SCCS, even more if you order online! On Wednesday, April 25, the proceeds will benefit the SMCC National Art Honor Society. Thank you for your support.

LAUDATO SI: ON CARE FOR OUR COMMON HOME
On Monday, April 23, our Laudato Si presenter is Breann Hohman from the Erie Conservation District, who will speak on the efforts being made to conserve the soil & water in our community. Join us at 6:30pm in the Gathering Space at Sts. Peter and Paul Church.

PRESCHOOL AND ELEMENTARY SCHOOL NEWS
 
STATE THEATRE TRIP
On Tuesday, April 24, students in preschool -grade 2 will be taking a field trip to The Sandusky State Theatre to see the performance of Dr. Seuss's "Cat in the Hat," sponsored by the Wightman/Wieber Children's Matinee Series.
 
MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL SCHOOL NEWS
 
SPRING COLLEGE NIGHT
Miss Howman will be hosting a Spring College Night on Tuesday, April 24 at 6:00pm in the PPC. The meeting will include ways to maximize the summer vacation and prepare for the fall application season. Students and parents are welcome to attend.

PANTHER CROSS COUNTRY MEETING
There will be a short sign-up meeting in the cafeteria on Tuesday, May 1, immediately after school for current 6-11 grade boys and girls interested in joining the Panther Cross Country team this fall. For those of you who have never participated in a team sport, or are looking for a new challenge, this is your opportunity to be part of a winning tradition.
