2017 Point in Time Count Report Released
Every year Contra Costa County conducts an annual Point in Time (PIT) Count, or census, to identify homeless individuals residing in the county. This data is necessary to describe the severity of the issue in the county, and to identify appropriate programs and resources to reduce the number of people experiencing homelessness at a local and national level.

The 2017 Point In Time (PIT)  report is now available  here
CIVIL GRAND JURY REPORTS ON HOMELESSNESS IN CONTRA COSTA
The Contra Costa County Civil Grand Jury is annually impaneled to investigate city and county governments, special districts and certain nonprofit corporations to ensure functions are performed in a lawful, economical and efficient manner. This year the Grand Jury generated two reports, one directed to the cities and one directed to the Board of Supervisors, on the topic of homelessness.

The report "Homelessness in the Cities" can be found here:

The report "More Shelter Beds Needed For The Homeless In Contra Costa County:" can be found here:

Recommendations resulting from these investigations are listed in the reports. Your donation to the
can help end homelessness for James and others like him.
