Hungry? Like to enjoy fellowship over a meal? An open program, ALL AGES are welcome, is being hosted by Super Sixties this month. Come join us for a time of connecting, sharing, visioning, celebrating and hearing more about Building Inside Out.  Irene Peters and Glo Ceteznik will lead an exploration of the exciting things happening at MIPC this spring and into the future.  This MyChurch Gathering is your chance to ask questions, hear about the nuts and bolts of the campaign and talk with others about the Building Inside Out Campaign.  This is not a fundraising meeting, no financial commitments will be asked for or received.
So come learn, enjoy friends, food and fellowship. First timers welcome! Please let Ruth Ann know by Tuesday, April 24, if you will attend. [email protected] or (206) 232-5596 x 1002.

Thursday, April 26, 7-9pm Dessert & Parenting Seminar
We have invited Heather Ingersoll PhD, mom, parent coach, academic and spiritual leader to share, teach, and lead discussions about cultivating faith in children's lives. Goodbye for Chris
As many of you are well aware, at the end of this month we will say our goodbyes to Chris McLaughlin after 5 years of faithful service at MIPC. There will be a time of honoring Chris and praying for him and his family at the 5pm service on April 29th , followed by a potluck reception in the courtyard.

We plan to give Chris a gift basket during this time with cards and thank you's for all his wonderful work and ministry over the years. If you would like to contribute, please drop off a goodbye card, gift card, item for the basket, etc. to the front office or put into Pastor Lindsay's front office box either on or before April 29.

Please consider bringing a salad, side or dessert for the potluck following the service, if you can, or just yourself. All are welcome!
Click on this link if you are able to bring food.

Growing In Faith Class
"100,000 Sundays of Symbols & Rituals"
Sundays at 9:15am in Classroom A-B, through May 20
Christians have been worshiping together for 2,000 years - about 100,000 Sundays. What are the rituals that we do in MIPC today, which Christians started using 100,000 Sundays ago? Which of our symbols began 75,000 or 50,000 Sundays ago? Join us to look at the history of Christian worship, and to learn about the cultural and historical forces that formed our rituals and symbols, and what their meaning is for us today. Led by Rosemary Sixbey.

"Creation Care and Climate Change" -  New Class Starts This Sunday

MIPC Courtyard Gallery
April 19 - June 16, 2018
The art of Watanabe Sadao has hung in the Vatican Museum, the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, the British Museum, the National Museum of Modern Art in Tokyo and many other leading museums. Digital prints of his work will be exhibited in the MIPC Courtyard Gallery from April 19 - June 16, due to the generosity of Anne H. H. Pyle and the School of Asian Studies at the University of Washington.

A Christian Artist in a country where Shinto and Buddhist heritage is dominant, Mr. Watanabe created lively and energetic prints with Christian themes from traditional Japanese materials using a complex, multi-stepped process of preparation of materials and creation of images. During President Lyndon Johnson's administration, his prints hung in the White House. Yet, Watanabe said, "I would most like to see them hanging where people ordinarily gather, because Jesus brought the gospel for the people."

In addition to the prints, we are pleased to have a presentation by Anne H. H. Pyle, Watanabe's only private student, and the owner of the largest collection of his work. Join us on June 3 after the one 9:30am summer service and learn more about this artist and his calling.

Sanctuary Flowers
Each Sunday, congregation members have the opportunity to provide the beauty of flowers to the sanctuary. Many donate to honor loved ones who have passed, celebrate an anniversary or birthday or just because they love seeing flowers at church. Whatever the reason, the thoughtfulness is greatly appreciated. Flowers can come from your garden or a flower shop, whatever works best for you.
Because some of our members and guests are allergic to floral fragrances it is best to plan flowers without fragrances. Thank you.

If you would like to sign up to provide flowers for an upcoming Sunday service or for more information please continue to this  link .
