DRAMA CLUB TRIP TO NYC
On Wednesday, March 28, the SBA Drama Club took New York by storm. They attended the Broadway Classroom taught by members of the Cast of Dear Evan Hansen. After lunch, they attended the matinee performance of the show. Amazing experience was had by all.

TRANSFORMATION SCHOLARS PROGRAM
Congratulations to Grace Comas, Emily DeMarshall, Bridget McShane, and Gabrielle Romano who have been accepted in the
Transformation Scholars Program,
a partnership between SBA and La Salle University.
The girls applied and were selected because of their GPA and academic record and can
earn dual college credit,
taking one La Salle course in each of the fall and spring semesters. Great job!

BASKETBALL AWARDS
On Wednesday March 28, 2018, the Markward Club recognized SBA seniors Cheryl Remolde and Paulina Storck at their final
awards dinner. Cheryl a
nd Paulina were each recognized by the club and received the Ferguson Awa
rd. The
Ferguson
award is given to the top academic
basketball performers in the surrounding area. Senior Molly Deal was also recognized with the Managers Award for her outstanding contributions to our program. SBA is very proud of these seniors!

"HAIRSPRAY"
Thank you to all who attended "Hairspray" over the weekend making the show a success. Congratulations to the Cast and Crew for a fabulous show.

SHOE DRIVE
Our thanks to all who contributed to the shoe drive we collected 1231 pairs of shoes to be donated!

JUNIOR RETREAT
On Tuesday, April 10, the Junior Class participated in a day of service and reflection as their Junior Retreat. Half of the Junior Class served with DeSales Service Works in Camden making sandwiches for the homeless, making signs, and serving the school community. Half of the Junior Class served with Old Pine Community Center in Philadelphia, cleaning the church, cemetery, and exterior of the property.

EMERGING LEADERS SHADOW DAY
On Tuesday, April 17, Saint Basil Academy hosted the first "Emerging Leaders Shadow Day" for selected seventh grade students scoring exceptionally well on the high school practice test. The students were given tours, interacted in several classes, and finished the day with a confidence workshop hosted by an alumna from the Basil Business Alliance. It was a great day and we hope to see these students in the Class of 2023.
