There's a new vaccine in town
The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) is recommending a new shingles vaccine (Shingrix) for people age 50 and older. The vaccine is available at pharmacies and physician's offices. According to the CDC, even those who have received the old shingles vaccine should get the new vaccine, as should people who have had shingles.

It is always recommended that you speak with your physician before deciding to take this and any vaccine. Insurance coverage varies, so check with you health insurance provider to learn more. Medicare Part D covers Shingrix, but Medicare Part B does not.
