CLI Committed to Serve You

March 13, 2020

COVID-19 has presented an unexpected and unprecedented potential challenge to our society.

CLI's first priority is to keep our staff safe and healthy, which in turn allows us to meet our responsibilities to you, our valued client.  Therefore, we have made the decision to temporarily suspend corporate travel and onsite meetings.  We will be reviewing this decision on a daily basis.

You should know, though, that long before this reactionary decision, CLI has been engaged in disaster planning.  Superstorm Sandy in 2012 showed us how critical secure, remote access is, and over the past decade, CLI has practiced what we preached.  We have migrated CLI's internal development and support servers to a secure private cloud - the same cloud we use to host many of our client applications.  This was to ensure that the lights on our systems never go out, and the staff who need to access them, can do so, whenever and wherever necessary.

In tandem with CLI's severs being protected, we have a staff who is dispersed geographically, all of whom are able to operate remotely if needed.

Of course, we have also reminded our staff, whether in our Elmsford NY office, or in their remote offices, the importance of following the health protocols that are now in place to stop the spread of the virus.  We have clearly communicated with our team that we need to mitigate the chances of internally commuting this or any other illness, and our policy is clear that if in any doubt they should work from home.

Our relatively new corporate office is configured in such a way that everyone has their own, well positioned workspace, providing us more than the recommended social distancing when in the office.

Like your business, we are planning for the worst, hoping for the best, and taking it very seriously.  We are fortunate to be in a line of business which does not require physical presence, and if there is a requirement to close our physical offices, our team is prepared to execute remotely.

Our thoughts are particularly with the men and woman of this industry, whose commitment to move goods and products are, if anything, even more critical in a time that people are hoarding those same products and scared.  There are many worries on our minds these days, and hopefully this note allays potential concerns you may have regarding CLI's ability to continue to serve you.
