Thanks to a generous $1 million grant from the Gerard B. Lambert Foundation, the ICAA is excited to announce first-of-its-kind programming in landscape architecture for designers, students, and enthusiasts, with particular emphasis on educating the next generation: the Bunny Mellon Curricula.
This curricula, the first to be named in honor of Bunny Mellon, honors her commitment to landscape design, and her deeply-held belief that architecture is firmly linked to its surrounding landscape, a legacy that extends from William Kent’s groundbreaking work to the innovations of contemporary practitioners.

For nearly three centuries, Savannah, Georgia has been admired for its ideal town plan and its exceptional architecture. Savannah’s plan is extraordinary for many reasons, but principally for how it has adapted to changing circumstances while maintaining its essential ideality.
This one-day seminar explores the evolving dialogue between urbanism and architecture that continues to make Savannah a rewarding case study for architects and urbanists today.

Join town architects and 2016 Arthur Ross Award Winners (Civic Design) María Sánchez and Pedro Godoy, co-founders and directors of Estudio Urbano, as they present the award-winning city of Cayalá: from the overall master plan, to the streets, plazas, and buildings of the now-completed quartiere of Paseo Cayalá.
At a time when conventional developments in this country were gated, suburban, and car-oriented, the visionaries of Cayalá aspired to create mixed-use, safe, and pedestrian-oriented environments which reflected Guatemala’s unique architectural identity. In 2010, this vision began to take shape as ground broke for the first quartiere of the city: Paseo Cayalá.

The ICAA was delighted to welcome the eloquent Mitchell Owens,
Decorative Arts Editor for Architectural Digest,
on last fall’s tour of 18th and 19th Century houses and country estates in southern Ireland, from the modestly sized Burtown House to the sprawling Lismore Castle, home-away-from-home to England’s Duke of Devonshire.
Having identified his own particular acute case of “Irishmania,” Mitch has published his delightful first-person account of this tour.
