Halifax County Grant Cycle Opening

The Halifax County Grant Cycle will open August 15. Grant applications will be accepted from 501(c)3 charitable organizations serving Halifax County. Applications must be submitted online through the Foundation's grant site. The deadline for all applications is September 29, 2017.

Retiring and New Board Members

As we start a new fiscal year, we are saying goodbye to a few board members that are retiring off the Board, but also saying hello to a few new faces at the Foundation. Thank you, Peter Howard, Paul Thompson, and Kay Trakas for your dedication to The Community Foundation. Your hard work and dedication to better the community has not gone unnoticed. We would not be able to serve our region without the amazing Board of Directors we have at the Foundation. The Community Foundation is excited to welcome four new Board members Richard Camp, Janet Holley, Kathy Hurt and Brian Wilson. Click here for a full list of the Board of Directors.

  
 

Last Chance to Order Pet Center Bricks
 
We have 70 bricks purchased and would like to have 100 before the county orders and installs. This will be your last chance to order a brick. Once we have reached 100 bricks this opportunity is closed. All purchases help the pets at the Pittsylvania Pet Center.
Order you 4"x8" brick for $100 or 8"x8" brick for $200 to celebrate or memorialize your most important people, pets and dates for years to come.

Each engraved brick will be a visible part of the main entrance and gar den area.

You can save this form on your system and fill it out and print it and mail it to The Community Foundation, 541 Loyal Street, Danville, VA 24541 with your payment. Bricks can also be paid for online with forms mailed in or emailed to [email protected].
 
Online gifts can be made by clicking the "Please Donate" button below. A portion of every donation will go to provide long-term support for the shelter.
 
 
 
Welcome Hannah!
   
We are very excited to have one of our scholarship recipients, Hannah Dewberry, working for us this summer at the Foundation! Hannah is a senior at Campbell University majorin g in psychology with a minor in health communication. Please join us in making Hannah feel at home!
