"Wandering in the Wilderness"

In this Lenten season, the wilderness is a metaphor for intense experiences - of need for food and water, of isolation, of danger, and deliverance.  What can our own wilderness teach us?

March Shared Plate Recipient
Watsonville Wetlands Watch

March's shared plate recipient is Watsonville Wetlands Watch, which envisions a wetland ecosystem that thrives within Watsonville and the greater Pájaro Valley. WWW works to restore and enhance the services these wetlands provide to the surrounding landscape and to the Pájaro Valley community. Their education and volunteer programs serve thousands of youth and students, making sure the next generation of leaders is equipped to take on the complex environmental challenges our community faces. And WWW's habitat restoration programs strengthen the natural resources of our region, cleaning our waterways, improving trails and greenbelts, and laying the foundation of the return of wildlife species who future survival depends of thoughtful actions take today. Your contribution is the opportunity to "think globally and act locally," protecting biodiversity and natural resources.
